Don't forget the glorious Peavey T-40. You see them for $300 or so fairly often.

The streets in town are all fucked up from some festival thing going on, so it would take me like an hour to drive to Guitar Center and try out some basses this weekend, so I'll probably go next week
Almost all my demos are done on a J bass. Pickups... well because they are like everywhere everyone makes replacement pickups for them...

You can pretty much do whatever you want with the pups in a Jazz or P.
I personally love J's and had a JV Squier that was the Bee's Knees,...I got rid of it and kick myself for doing so a lot.

Alright, I'll probably either pickup a used MIM (find em around 250) or a used Squier (around 100)

Yeah,...I've had problems looping too,...but on the electro set with canned beets that Mecha Shiva did,...I used the tap tempo on the DL-4 to lock in with those beets on my delays. Sometimes they would offset slightly and it was sparse enough that it was actually quite musical.
Not sure why a careened off from looping into delay though.....

yeah. i do better when it's with a live drummer or somebody that can tap out a tempo on the beats to match, it's just if it's 142.81 bpm i'm never gonna tap EXACTLY that. it's going to drift over time eventually. if i was going to do it live for any length of time i'd want to midi slave a looper to some master time piece.

I have played on a few schecters, I just hate active pickups, and how schecters look in general...

The VM series from Squeir is definitely worth ever dollar. And you can find em cheap too!

I don't particularly care for 2001 either.
I do like Deodado/Phish's version of Also Sprach Zarathustra though.

That was nice!
And I love the films and the books, but Clarke's always been one of my favorite authors.
