I just can't help it uncreativeness pisses me off... Hence why I for the most part stay off TB and the only thing I ever find interesting is the noise comps. So when I see a club I can join I have always screwed with the OP on the number bullshit because I think it is lame and uncreative. Oh boy oh boy oh boy I'm-crap in-a-hat user #69 :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: I so excited I'm going to _____ a cat :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: Oh boy oh boy oh boy!!

You need a little more practice on the looper (I need a lot more practice on the looper),....your timing is off,...but I know you'll get it dialed in.

Mudfuzz,...you're a slut.

Ok, actual post for me in this thread:

I'm thinking about picking up a bass because there are like a jillion guitar players, so whats a decent, cheap bass?

Budget?

Style?

A shot from the hip;

G&L Tributes
MIM Fenders
Used JV Squiers (if you can find a good deal)

Preferably around Squier pricing, but I could probably swing a used MIM

Style? Ehhhh... kinda like indie rock, but I do like to play with fuzz, so something between Wilco and Queens of the Stone Age

In an ideal world, I could get a legit Ric for like 200 bucks, but I don't think that's what is happening :lol:

i know. it starts to drift after a hinute. that was just fucking around at the house for a bit. i dunno how much looping i'd do with live stuff, definitely NONE till i got more solid.

it's such a bitch looping to something like a drum machine that has NO forgiveness.

Yeah,...I don't think you could pick up a lawsuit era Ricky for that.

Keep an eye out for sweet lawsuit basses that might pop up and the person selling doesn't realize what they have.

Copies of EB-3s, Jazz and P basses and what have you from Greco, Burny, Ibanez, Ventura, Etc Etc Etc.

The newer VM and CV Squiers seem to have a decent following, so maybe get out there and give them a go.

@Behndy

Yeah,...I've had problems looping too,...but on the electro set with canned beets that Mecha Shiva did,...I used the tap tempo on the DL-4 to lock in with those beets on my delays. Sometimes they would offset slightly and it was sparse enough that it was actually quite musical.

Not sure why a careened off from looping into delay though..... :idk:

I know its stupid, but I really like the looks of a jazz bass... how are the pickups? Also, with fuzz? I figured this would be the place to ask

The streets in town are all fucked up from some festival thing going on, so it would take me like an hour to drive to Guitar Center and try out some basses this weekend, so I'll probably go next week
