It is a super fancy way of saying "tone knob" haha. Those are the labels for the tone bypass pushbutton switch.

Thanks dude. It is ash and was stained black, sanded, and given a tung oil finish. Yeah, we could your guard, bit I do chemical etching so I would have to strip the gold anodizing off...
