I've picked up on your method of bolting the board to the enclosure and kinda copied that. I really like it. Rock solid!

It just makes me feel SO much better when stuff isn't floating. Floating stuff makes me so nervous for whatever reason BOLTING FOR THE WIN!!

Sweet, I keep trying to find an excuse to build one of these! My amp (Trace Elliot Trident) already does a passable nu-metal impression tho as the main overdrive channel is based on an SLO-100 which isn't a million miles away from a Mesa, should I just build one anyway?!

Is hot glue okay to use for mounting? Seems like it'd be easy to peel off, if rework ever needed to be done.

Yeah I've done it many times with solid results.

Of course bolting it down is easier to remove to rework and also more solid, but got glue will do the job just fine. Just cover as much surface area with the glue as possible

I would recommend the PCBs if they were still available, but sadly the project was killed off. There are still schems etc over at FSB if that helps, and I thinks it's worth building as a rare example of a high gain pedal with an EQ section that actually works- it actually does a lot more than just nu metal. Way more chunk than a Dr Boogie (which sounds like trash IMHO ).

Here is what I have been up to, top is a fuzz for a friend who was fuzzless. Hemmo buzzbox// beavis audio black fuzz style circuit.I made it with stuff sitting around...switches are for diodes on second stage and diode/electra distortion resistor on the first..also stupidly wonderful tone control......the pink box is a light controlled nand synth.

Bee Baa variation for Schnikes. Changed the midscoop to the FY2 one and put it one a trimmer. Sounds great with just a tad of the scoop. Huge sounding. There's a toggle to switch in and out one of the collector to base capacitors to help soften the fuzz and get rid of some noise but I ike it much better without it. Footswitch for scoop tone and "normal" tone.

What are those blue collar things at the ends of the fat cables? I see them on lots of builds. Is it heatshrink cable? What is it for?

Yep, heatshrink. For the led's I have resistor and wires soldered to one another. There is covers the connection, adds some strength. There's also some shielded wire, the shrink covers the end of the shield.
