It matters if you're going for the authentic experience. or a Hendrix strat, as discussed in the video, it would be important if you want to feel what Hendrix felt. For example the, first three string bends of "All Along the Watchtower", if you want to feel what Jimi felt udner his fingers, you'd need the same amount of slack on the same gauge of strings. But if you're going to do that, be a man and buy a leftie Strat and play it righty, like Hendrix did, otherwise you're not getting full immersion.
worth posting in full

Same guy
There's a lot of talk about how "any guitar can be used for any genre", but fret radius, scale length, and string slack are all part of the experience. It doesn't matter to the listener, but if you're intention is to have a vicarious experience, you can only really get it if you have the same type of guitar as was originally used
This just shows that these guys play guitar for a totally different reason than why I would do it. Like philosophically it is quite interesting. Its is quite literally escapism, but not into the world of music and jamming for yourself and feeling good, but into becoming another person. I don't know exactly what this would stem from. Self-loathing? Hendrix fanaticism?

Umm sweaty how can you say you're getting the full Jimi Hendrix experience without turning yourself black and time travelling back to 1969

I think the full TGP immersion is being a middle-aged white man and still being amazed by boobies (and also always needing to let everyone know when you're horny for any image of a woman)

Yeah but the thing is there are other better sites for that vs a site that is filled with guys that think the dude that works at GC offers sage advise on tonewoods while trying to sell you a plywood guitar because of that sunburst paint job that oozes vintage vibes and mojo.

Kill it with fire. Ultimate upside of playing more with things that aren't guitars - rarer and rarer to have a search for info end up there.

I recently used it for the rack space cause there was a guy there who had pretty fun interests with the format. Didn't get much useful info tho. Mostly guys arguing how to get the biggest shred tones with your lexicon pcm
