I'm going to be putting my LP back in C with some 13's I think. Wound 3rd is going to be a bit tight methinks

This happened the last time they revamped HC around two-three years ago. I remember everyone vacated to Rig-Talk. The owner and admins there even erected an entire new forum for the immigrants, called Harmony Central Shanty Town. Everyone hated the new layout, which is the layout we just lost. I thought it was good, until recently obviously. This new layout is definitely not my preference. It's too small and cluttered. The old one was nice and wide and bright; good definition. Also, blocking out words like MUFF is just sad, but probably not something they've got round to fixing yet. It may have been a template, like ilovefuzz, that they decided to adopt and thus have to administer a few changes before it's up to scratch.

I've started working out again. I've changed it from long, slow cardio and machines (when I had a gym membership) to high-intensity cardio and free-weights. I tried this 10 minute, no rest workout today and I was totally fucked. I managed to reach the nine minute mark. My goodness, it was tough. It's mostly just using your bodies natural weight as a muscle strengthener—squats, lunges, burpees, push-ups, star jumps, etc.—but it was absolutely killer. I look forward to doing it in a way, though. It gives me a good feeling. Plus, it's only 15 minutes everyday and is as cheap-as-chips.

I feel the same way. BUT a few years back, the old band of some friends of mine released their first EP after their demo and I'll never forget hearing it for the first time. They only tuned to Eb but due to a poor setup, the lead guitar made the coolest sludgy sound of the strings detuning when played hard. That said, I only play .11s and thicker

I love that detuning sound when you smack a string hard. It's cool in places, but not always, so I stick to 13's or ideally 12's and go from there.

Give me a P90 and a volume control and I'm good to go. Don't need anything else except for a loud amp sometimes. So good

Yay Doom.

Personally, I might slightly prefer Funeral/Death Doom than to Stoner - which I do love but I find it easy to get burnt out on. Duuuuuuuuuuun.

Has anyone heard the Swiss band Rorcal? Their older stuff is very Doomy much like Neurosis/Amenra.

Can one doom with SF Fenders? ie '68 Super and Bassman? I imagine a lot of doomy amps are somewhat based off of the Bassman?

Doom ain't in the amp, doom is in the heart and beard, man.
Shit, even then, it's not the beard on the outside; it's the beard on the inside. Just like Action Hank says.
