Played Saints Row III for a few hours, it's not for me. Don't like the style and the feel of the game. Trying Demon's Souls today.

Demon's Souls is fantastic, really badass action RPG, one of my favourite games along with or slightly after Dark Souls. It's as good though, just slightly stylistically different, slightly simpler graphics.
All the game-play and discussion I've seen for Dark Souls 2 make it look like Demon's Souls + Dark Souls with amazing graphics, totally awesome.

I was about 10 when the first Nintendo came out in ~85 and I was also into table top gaming that far back too and I look at the kind of D&D experiences you can have with video games now and it just blows that little kid inside of me away, all the time, they're so cool and immersive and awesome... special stuff for sure, I flippin love video games!
Yep! I can't wait to share video games with my kids. I want them to love the classics as much as I do, but a lot of those didn't really hold up that well

The trick is keep them abstained from the modern titles. If you let them play Forza 5 on a PS4 and then start encouraging them to play Mario Bros. then there are going to start screaming. Gradually involve them in the era of video games.

So I discovered Videogame Championship Wrestling
http://vgcw.wikia.com/wiki/Video_Game_C ... tling_Wiki
It comes on this channel: http://www.twitch.tv/bazza87
Dude posts on his Twitter when he's gonna have a show: https://twitter.com/BazMcMahon
There's one at 6PM EST tonight!
It's a stream that this dude runs. Using custom wrestlers, he has vidja game characters duke it out for a couple of hours each week, letting the AI control each wrassler.
Sounds dumb but the people who watch it have invented all these ridiculous storylines that have in turn made it into the official "canon". Plus, the live chat makes it hilarious.

Re: Video game thread. Huzzah!
So who was brave enough to play Outlast? Gotta be the grossest, scariest, most intense horror survival game I've seen in a long time, highly enjoyable! Amnesia A Machine For Pigs was good too, I liked Outlast more though.
Anybody play Brothers? Neat game...
Cool new platformer called Volgarr the Viking, I dig games like that.. not as cool as Rogue Legacy though if you ask me.
You guys are probably pumped for GTA5 hey? What else is new lately?

I've been playing Sleeping Dogs a bit. It's good but not especially addictive like other open-world sandbox games. I think GTAV might be the first game I've ever bought upon release (I'll be buying it later on today probably). I didn't even buy Deus Ex or Batman Arkham City upon release.

I never buy the games new, I wait a few months and get a bundle with all DLCs... And I have the Playstation Plus, so I get to download a few games a month.

Re: Video game thread. Huzzah!
I just finished Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare. Pretty fun/funny stuff. Started on Heavy Rain, which is shaping up to be all kinds of interesting.
I am holding off on GTAV for the time being, since I don't have the time to put into it right now. Probably pick it up before I have my Christmas vacation.
