messin around with ps6 other night
i thought one of the harmonist settings
that ive been usin was +1/-1
looked at the manual and i was wrong
so diggin around i found that setting
and holy shit
adds all that fatness
bass amp rumbles
guitar amp freakin sings
without adding any organy tones
i dont mind the organ shit on some stuff
i actually really dig it in moderation
can sound extremely evil
+1oct/-1oct turns it into a monster
but still sounds like guitar

Summit, you are really making me want a ps-6 although I already have the ps-2,-3 and -5, damn! I think my Alesis Akira can also do what you described though, have to check that! out some more

Also, I have a Boss DF-2 coming in. Heard some bad stuff about it but Boris uses it and the Kayzer demo of it was all kinds of awesome so I guess I'm scoring something good. Some people on here must have some experience with it?

Also, I have a Boss DF-2 coming in. Heard some bad stuff about it but Boris uses it and the Kayzer demo of it was all kinds of awesome so I guess I'm scoring something good. Some people on here must have some experience with it?

Despite the mixed reviews it gets, I LOVE the DF-2. I can get great tones out of it, and there are all kinds of creative ways to use the feedbacker function. One good thing to try is setting it at a low gain setting and run a bit more dirt after the pedal, makes the feedbacker sound killer. Also, get the feedbacker running on a tonic or dominant, then let it ring while you play over it, the sustained note moves from the back to the front of the mix depending on how much you're playing over top.

The only thing I would change is I wish it could be set so the sustained note drops off gradually instead of all of a sudden.

Regardless, it's a unique and great sounding pedal, have fun with it!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but honestly, drop that RC-2 it and grab an RC-3 instead.

I had the RC-2 for a couple of years (with frequent use) before the RC-3 came out. It took a long time to really figure out, and it always felt like a headache to sort out how to control the functions.

The RC-3 is way more intuitive and user friendly. Also, since the save spots are so much easier to write to, access, and organize, I ended up using them far more often. 99 spots seems nuts at first, but I find myself using most of them on the RC-3. I've hooked it up to my computer and uploaded all of my favorite backing tracks, which I use for practice or for jamming with buddies. Still leaves plenty more empty spots for gigs and fooling around.

So bottom line, the RC-3 is a big upgrade over the RC-2, and you're gonna find it much easier to use.

I've wanted an RV-5 forever but they never come up for trade and I never want to spend that much cash on another verb (since I already have to many)

Boss Noise suppressors... do they really cut a lot of sustain? I'm running a lot of dirt lately and need something to kill the noise without turning pedals off every time but maintain my tone too.

Every noise pedal is shit at cutting out noise when you're running them after a lot of dirt pedals. What you need is a kill switch.

tuner after the fuzz functions as a kill switch. i deliberately put mine right after the RV-3 so i can cut the repeats off.

Just bought a modded DS-1. Should be here in a few days. Never tried one, I know the stock gets alot of hate but I think I'll like this one.

My Pedalocks showed up in the mail today, and I was able to install them in about half an hour. They make swapping Boss effects on my all-Boss board a total sinch, I'm thrilled!

I've removed the velcro from all of my Boss pedals, and now I just click a pedal off the board, then click the new one in.
