Owned it since 1994, its a lot older than that though.
Sick! Mine's an '82, and I got it this year for $700. I'm fairly certain that since purchasing it in January, I've played it continuously since then, and there are no signs of stopping. Its name is Steve, and it is SO GOOD.

Early 80's G&L's are the shit. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
Congrats on the score. That's a good price.
I got mine for 400.00. It was a steal, even back then.
You cn't tell from that pic but mines black with the all chrome hardware.
I love how its checking all over and the chrome has worn off the tuning pegs.

Awesome! Yeah, the chrome is starting to wear on mine too. I found out that the black hardware was a transitional thing that only happened for like 6 months before they changed the headstock. There's something about that giant headstock that gives it something more...
