Picked up a 4-pack of Sweet Action and a 4 of Righteous Ale by Sixpoint last night. The Sweet Action was thinner thank I thought it would be, but all right. The Righteous was pretty delicious. Even the non-beer drinkers dug it, though my wife thought it had a mineral-y aftertaste that she didn't like. I'm interested enough to try some of their other varieties, though.

Yeah, it was dumb luck & packaging that led me to them. The pharmacy that we go to
for my psychotic cat's Prozac has a great, but somewhat random, wine and beer selection. They had a bunch of Sixpoint 4-packs right by the pharmacist's pick-up counter, so I went for it. Definitely gonna swing by there again today.

Just picked up a keg of Franziskaner Hefeweizen. Of course, it's a funky kind of tap, so now I'm waiting for my fifth different keg coupler. They really need to come up with one or two standards, this is fucking retarded.

That's it. I'm coming over. With a sleeping bag. Expect me within a half hour.
In other news, Sixpoint's "The Crisp" is pretty tasty in the can.

Well, you're going to be disappointed, because the tap hasn't arrived in the mail yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Believe me, it's killing me having the keg sitting there in my kegerator and all the deliciousness is locked inside.

I guess I just have to sit here and stroke it lovingly in the meantime.

Anybody tried Lagunitas? They're carrying some at the pharmacy near me, and I'm kinda intrigued...

If you're an IPA kind of guy, Maximus is a fantastic imperial.

YAZZIR. I've tried nearly everything by Lagunitas, and it's always a pleasant experience. All of their IPAs have a similar taste, but then they all have their own separate unique THING. Their basic IPA is very good for the price, but they have a lot of special beers that I would recommend over the IPA, and these are all IPAs themselves:
My favs:
1. Little Sumpin' Sumpin'
2. Hop Stoopid
3. Little Sumpin' Extra
4. Lucky 13
If you can find it, get Lagunitas Undercover Shutdown. I have no idea what kind of beer it actually is, but it's GREAT. Wholly unique taste. I drank four of them one night just out of nowhere because they were so tasty.
Do it.

Their Lucky 13, CENSORED ale and the Hairy Eyeball are all pretty good. The Hop Stoopid is aptly named. The Maximus is like sucking on a hop cone. The Little Sumpin Sumpin is ok.

Ooooooh, so they're big on the IPAs, huh? Hmmmm... Well, mebbe I'll give one of the tamer ones a try - not really interested in sucking on a hop cone. I'll have to find out more about this Undercover Shutdown of which you speak.

It's a special once a year that they brew and it comes out in the spring. As long as it is stored properly (not in direct sun or too warm) it will be excellent heading into the fall if you find some. I don't know exactly what kind of beer style it is, something like a big malty ipa (which one or the other fairly sums up just about everything they make, this one is sort of all of those things if that makes sense.) Everything they sell comes in at a pretty nice price as well (especially the 22ozs)
