I had maybe 25 pedals in my signal chain at one point? I decided to try ignoring my pedalboard and plug straight into my amp. The difference in how I sounded was HUGE. That's actually a big part of why I play a minimalist guitar rig these days.

Try it. You don't need to prove anything to us, just try it to see how different your tone is when it isn't being run through three dozen true bypass pedals.

Just turn the tone knob on the amp up a bit to compensate, dungus.

TOne knob is for more or less tone to compensate for having a very large pedalboard, everyone knows this.

If you ask about capacitance issues in my rig, I'll duel you Vidret. I'm not gonna let you insult me, you rotting maggot of armpit sweat!

You know who else has capacitance issues? YOUR MOM.

I play direct into an amp all the time. Every time I make major changes, I do it using a very clean amp to make sure I did not add to the noise floor or create any signal loss. Seriously, 25 pedals and tone loss should be an easy fix. It's not magic. Not sure why you guys are all projecting your pedalboard issues on me.

And the pope.
You're mixing up tone and dome.

The pope would probably just add a Rangemaster and call it a day.

Lots of popes have been very opulent. I think a full on Pete Cornish board would have been their style.
