I don't dislike them as people of course, and I know they have a hard job when it comes to being fair. But they often times come off as pompous asses. Trying to brag about the "ban hammer" and shit. Seriously. It's just the internet. No one fears them. lol

after thinking about it a bit i realize i truly could give a fuck. Mods Gonna Mod. if a shitty attitude is what they feel like they're entitled to as a payment, have at it. most of them are cool as FUCK. Grygghghgalghz usually is too.

Personally, I think BOH's comment would have flown better if he'd said "...The truth is, as a bassist, you don't necessarily NEED any pedals...", instead of "...The truth is, as a bassist, you don't need ANY pedals...". I'd find it easier to (theoretically, at least) agree with, and it doesn't come off as the approaching-troll'ish comment that he got away with. IMO. YMMV. Void where prohibited.

Right, which is exactly what I said in that thread, and grygrx still blew it away. All I said was that it would have been better if he had added a qualifier to that statement, like "most" or "probably" or "necessarily". To just make a flat statement about what you need and don't need as a bassist is ridiculous and dismissive.
