and drolo, i'm getting one of those ricochets at some point, but I'm sure I'll etch that red right off of it.
Do you etch your own or have Dan do it?
I'm doing a run of pedals for Digitech soon, so I'll let Dan know how easy/hard it is to etch those suckers.
Great looking board as always Jean! Love the bass too.
Those enclosures are steel so it'll be quite a bit different from etching the usual hammond boxes.
I've looked into a solution to this, so from what I've read it will be ok. You are correct though. I had to do some research and it's a bit more corrosive/dangerous, but yields really cool results. I'm going to get some test steel to see what I can accomplish before I do anything.

Thanks for your insight, elevenstings. Lots to consider. I do have an Ottobit Jr arriving tomorrow because I am drawn to so many things it offers, not just the glitch stuff that people aren't fond of in the Meris thread. I don't want to write it off before I get it though. I may just end up with another DL4 anyway and that paired pretty well with the DX. But I sometimes hate that my DX can only do one mode at a time, hence the idea for two DXs for super maximum ultra DX.

Will you be etching the CabDryVR?

That's cool, I like big box peds where the knobs are miles away from the switch to minimise the risk of me kicking the knobs. Also, I meant to post about that phaser in the GAS thread, idk why I did it here

Alright, I think I'm done with buying anything new. Got the Mig-50 then said fuck it and bought the Keeley Loomer as a birthday gift to myself. Then finally got the Russian Pickle in the mail after pre-ordering it January 31st.
The only thing I'm looking to add; is if Boss finally releases the Slow Gear in Waza Craft format. I can honestly say I'm finally content with my board.

You're done.
Let me guess... you're going modular ?

haha, that's a possibility. But I'm honestly done. Since I got the Mig-50, all my dirt has sounded much better through it. But we will see. 6 months from now my board could look radically different!

This sound so much like this:
Man fuck doing heroin. Seriously.

I mean, yea. I wouldn't do heroin again, so...
New set up, not the pretties layout right now, but it works. I keep thinking of going smaller, then I think...why not bigger? I could get a bypass looper, midi controller...etc and go bigger. I'd need a multiple layered board, but who cares. Also, it'd weight a metric fuck ton, but also who cares? I'm strong, might as well use them muscles for something right???
The real question is, if you did that, who would you go with pedal board wise? Custom District is someone I'm seriously considering, but the price. Yikes! Thoughts? The lighter the board, the better. Offset some of that weight you know.

I guess it depends on whether you have the board setup just for use in the studio or to gig.
If it's for home, I'd go with fancy wooden pedal shelves, something stationary and heavy, and as many pedals I could afford :-)
the pedalboard equivalent of this:
