Rad. What part of this is the Transient doing? V. interested in Transient.

That's a pretty cool little collection of their circuits. I've always wanted one of their sloths

I'm getting a collection of his PCBs in the next week or 2. I've been waiting for his Sly Grogan module for a long time. Really unique EG. Outside of that, getting the Triple Sloth and Hyperchaos Deluxe. Fuck controllable LFOs and conventional shapes.
I sort of want to have the Null A2 as something I can just carry around in a small case. The guy just has such a massive collection of awesome modules (I want to try his Neuron as well), and he also worked a ton on the cellF which is still one of the coolest things ever created IMO.

Yeah I agree, I really like a lot of his circuits and his non-standard approach to everything. CellF is a crazy project. I wish I could have seen it in person

Where do I start guys? What would you recommend for a beginner?
Oh and I have fat sausage fingers, so bigger cables are a must for me.
Fucking hell, no, jwar. NO. I FUCKING FORBID YOU TO GO MODULAR.

i loooove the Transient. has kinda killed my lust for a Plonk.
the main drum drag that starts at 25 seconds in is Transient. then about 2.05 i start playing with the one bar pattern coming out the Digitakt into it. and then at 3.10 when i stop Pam sending gates into Rings/Quadra for MiniMod, they linger and its just the Transient till the end.

That looks pretty legit! The SMD soldering is intimidating though. Man...the price different between assembled and non assembled. Crazy. That's one to think on.
Eivind, what if I only went partially modular? Like have some of both?

I'd allow it. But please. Everybody is going modular. It's a disease. And I love you, man. Duck. I just don't want to see you talking about patching and VCA's and other bullshit. I... I just want you to think this through. Motherducker.

SMD isn't that bad; just an acquired skill. You definitely shouldn't start SMD soldering with that though.

Niiiice. Dirty dirt. I'd like a Transient AND a Plonk. They seem to be planets away from one another. I am a drum junkie.

Honestly...I wouldn't recommend a Mother 32. To me, it's actually less intuitive than full modular. If you want a standalone synth just do that. Plus, M32 is massive if you're going to rack it...bleh. I didn't like it. It sounds great, but, for "getting into modular" it didn't help me at all.
Better off w/ an 0-Coast but then you'll need a sequencer/controller probably as well.
I'd say take your time w the Mescaline. Give it a couple months at least before jumping in deeper.
