The worst part is that they are my only way of getting records without driving for hours or turning to the intro-netz so, I will probably wind up paying that much after shipping if I order from somewhere.

Music is sound, vinyl is plastic. A novelty at best. :p

Not getting down on vinyl, it's a nice hobby/collectors item, but like you said, it's a major investment. My only point is that the means of distribution is not equivalent to the music itself, it's merely supplementary.

For example, one of my favorite bands is Pink Floyd. They are known for some of the most quintessential album artwork as well as some of the most elaborate shows of all time, yet I got into them listening to burnt copies of CD's through my computer. It was purely the music that got me into them in the first place. All that other stuff is cool, just not something I, personally, value enough to spend money on. To each his own though. You know what they say, "haters gonna hate on the haters hatin' hatin' hate." :idk:

Grrrrrr...I was kinda hoping the country would default so I didn't have to go to work this week.
