sorry...i'm having a "please, God, won't somebody love me???" kind of day. the sort of day when wanking is just depressing. which is sad in a teenager, but just pathetic in a middle-aged man.

I'd like to be in a Quiet Storm style band, but with lots of fuzz.

i'd really love to play backing a singer-songwriter or vocalist, doing the David Lindley or Johnny Marr thing...tasteful chording in the background, supportive riffs behind the dramatic parts, terse but effective eight-bar solos to punctuate the songs. you know, that kind of thing. i'm really burned out on being the front man and focus of attention, on running things, being the musical director. i'd like to just be the guy that makes things sound better than they otherwise would.

i can dig it. i just want you to understand that i'm not wallowing...i'm trying to deal. but i have to express how i feel or it will eat me up. when my cat comes and is all snuggly with me it's incredibly sweet, but it also breaks my heart because i know my ex is going to come to the door soon with cops and take him away. if i don't talk about that it'll just rattle around in my head and make me crazier, you know? i'm trying to rise above it every day.

So today my guitar fell off the wall. The hanger already fucked up once but I thought that by using all of my dad's tricks I could secure that bitch to the wall. Anyway this happened while I was already in a very bad mood due to having my little girl with me despite being ill, not sleeping well and general mopeyness. It fell and I could not suppress a scream of rage and a kick against one of her legos that were lying around. And then she looked at me and said "I'd better go now." It freaking broke my heart. There, a confession.
