The voicing switch was a full control? Are you sure? I think we originally had the Fender channel with a Tone knob, but we changed it to Bass and Treble for a reason I'm trying to figure out. I think I just preferred the versatility of it, but I'm willing to change it to a single Tone knob and have the 3-way voicing switch on a knob. Or we could have the three-way midrange switch on a knob for a wider and more specific sweep.

It will need to be a full size rotary control, 4P3T.

Which, the voicing? Yeah, OK. Can we then add a phasing switch to invert the Tone control's function?

Sweet. So...

Matamp - Vol, Bass, Treble, 12-position Depth
Fender - Vol, Tone, Voice, Phase Switch, 3-way Midrange Sweep

7 full controls and 2 toggles. Should work.

The guitar sound on this is awesome. Reminds me of the opening to the Neurosis classic, Times of Grace. The vocals are a little bit intense for me, but I'll support the artist. I like it.

"Intense" is a good way to put the vocals, haha. I'm into it.
Watch live videos... their drummer SLAMS. I have a serious weakness for drummers who hit hard and keep it simple.

I kinda wish there was a little bit more variety. All-out screaming can become annoying a while. Fortunately he doesn't do it that much and the music is so damn good. The snare and guitar are really high the mix and it makes for a very heavy sounding record.

They seem real tight live. Sounds great.

What amps are they using in that clip? I see a Boogie on the left.

LOOKS like a Soldano Decatone 100 on the right with two 4x12's... can't see very well though.

Yeah, I saw it when one of the cameras flashed. Pretty awesome set-up. I had a Soldano once. It was as awesome as you'd think.

we stayed with one of their guitar players when we played in vancouver. super cool dude, by the way. we listened to their record and talked gear for a while. i think i remember him saying that at that time they played and recorded with a dual rectifier, which you can see in that clip and i think he said the other guitar player had a newer orange head. obviously not what he's playing there, but it might be what that recording was made with. great band. i really wish they could come here. dude said one of their band members had some legal troubles that meant he couldn't cross the border.
