Cheers! And no worries, I'm just checking out knobs for fun and to wind down for the evening. I have an idea on which I want to use, but I need to make sure they're not too big.new05002 wrote:i do believe the shaft size is 1/4". I dont know off the top of my head how the size will scale. I dont think I did a panel and chassis design for it yet

i would consider anything bigger than 1.25", large for this case. Pots have a minimum separation distance of like 1.25" to 1.5" or so.

Tax return ended up being squat this year, and with a mortgage and a third lil one on the way the other 300w amp is on indefinite hold for now......new05002 wrote:true dat. You gotta hold off for now. Putting the other 300W tube amp on hold for now?

The guy that runs rigsofdoom is from right around me. I've seen that thing live its loud as shit. He's definitely selling his. He gets some crazy stuff. Just got a 300T for bass and is getting rid of the 1200S.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I don't need 300w to be honest. For my situation the bass amp is reallyjust a stage monitor, you've all ready taken over the tone portion of my sound just not the power.new05002 wrote:you will just have to watch Nelson's 300W and Corey's 300W then for now and dream, dream like u never dreamed before
yup that's the one, and I've heard they are loud as balls which is kinda why I want one. What's funny is I have a 300T (which is an 85lb paperweight at the moment and probably will continue to be) and I'd prefer the the SS 1200s for lugging around to gigs.deathmonkey wrote:The guy that runs rigsofdoom is from right around me. Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
true I guess u can always rock the Naki all day for bass or guitar. You could also just do a 200W slave since you know how loud the amp is

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
So roughly an inch per knob is an ideal size? Cool. I can work with that.new05002 wrote:i would consider anything bigger than 1.25", large for this case. Pots have a minimum separation distance of like 1.25" to 1.5" or so.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I'd probably have gone with a 200w slave anyways, its plenty loud for stage usage. I mean how much can I really complain with 2 200w tube heads to gig with.....new05002 wrote:true I guess u can always rock the Naki all day for bass or guitar. not much honestly. Cost you less 2. Since the VB2 is fine for now, not much u need it for beyond continuity.Ancient Astronaught wrote:I'd probably have gone with a 200w slave anyways, its plenty loud for stage usage.
