hahahaha. Yeah yeah. People hate that amp. It's no sunn, but is a decent clean platform. It's fender clean tones. I think ima see how serious the kid is.

There is one demo online of it that I dig. GregsGuitarLessons did it I think. He compared it to the original.

to me it kind of boils down to like taking a 2013 Chevy Impala and renaming it a 1969 Camaro Z28 and selling it. The Impala is a fine enough car but its no vintage Z28

Hmmm... yeah, I know what you mean. Fender were obviously hoping to spring board from the popularity of the original to garner money and further popularity. With that said, a good amp is a good amp. But I know exactly what you mean.
By the way, Nick, what shaft size do the knobs on my amp have to be? Is it the same as the Iron Lung, 0.250? Also, do you have any idea how big the knobs can be before I have to consider increasing the chassis size? I know you said smaller the better, but I like 'em big.

i do believe the shaft size is 1/4". I dont know off the top of my head how the size will scale. I dont think I did a panel and chassis design for it yet

hahaha
I would do it yes. I had the reissue model T for a while and the gain channel while sounding good was way too quiet especially in comparison to the clean channel, and the clean channel maxxed out around 6. After that it just got grittier, and it was really picky about pedals, especially in comparison to the VB-2 and the Naki. The redbear is obviously a tone you prefer over the Model T (otherwise your current RB would be gathering dust amirite?) and having a backup to me is more important then a mediocre head just sitting around literally collecting dust.

Thanks for the positive feedback on that demo clip guys. I appreciate it. It seems like I'm finally getting to do the shit I hear in my head with a band who is into the same style of music I am.
If I had a Model T (even the reissue) offered for my Redbear plus some cash I'd do it in a heartbeat. I know it isn't supposedly anything like the originals but I kinda liked the cleans on the combo I tried once and wouldn't mind having one to fuck around with. Stupid me you say? Well, I have two Redbears sitting around collecting dust so I would be cool with letting one of em go.

if u like fender cleans u will like the clean channel on the reissue so that would make sense.

Speaking of fender re-branded Sunn amps.... got a lead on a Fender Bassman 1200 (the fender branded Sunn 1200s rack mount) which is the bass amp I've been hunting down for a while now.... but I have no loot or trade bait....
