No shame there, man, I fucking love that song. The sound of that Moog makes me get convulsions. I want a moog so bad...

i own a few boutique pedals but i'm still using some cheap shite patch cables that cost like... 3$

but i'm currently working on getting better patch cables ;) sadly, the reason for that is not the quality of some of my current patch cables but it's my inability to connect my pedals the way i'd want

I've finally come to grips with the fact that I simply can't handle 90 - 98% of metalcore / grind / screamo/ death metal vox... and that marks me as old.

Seriously, I'm finding that all the newer heavy bands I'm into are either lumped in as or are self-described as "retro" or "throwback." I've played some of these bands for younger friends, and they'll go "Wow - when's that from? It sounds like it was recorded in 1978 or something." And then I have to go, "Uh, no - it was recorded in 2009."

Damnit people, I remember when liking Ministry, Suicidal Tendencies, Metallica and Anthrax was CUTTING EDGE DANGEROUS! Teachers in my high school called home to check with my parents and make sure I was "o.k." because of what I listened to! I wrote scathing papers for English class defending thrash metal as a valid form of artistic expression! And now my friends send me links to "metal cruises" and ask if I'm going...

Sigh.

Clearly, it's only a matter of time before I'm shouting at neighborhood skaters "You goddamn kids keep off my lawn!"

I'll top that one! I traded in my green russian muff many years ago for some random piece of gear that has since come and gone.

I think I got $25 worth of store credit for it. :picard:

That said, I originally purchased said muff at a Midnight Madness sale for $25, so TECHNICALLY I made my money back. But still:

You need more techno breakdowns and autotune.

I HAVE a vintage Ric 4001 w/badass II... and it's been in pieces for the last four years, even though all I need to do to get it up & running is find someone to do the electrical work on it. :picard:
