I almost bought a turntable and a bunch of records including Kenny Loggins, Rod Stewart, Supertramp and some awesome soundtrack, but I couldn't get the turntable to turn on. It was plugged in, the speakers were good, the needle was on the groove, but the "on" switch physically wouldn't move. There was another 33/45 switch that was exactly the same and worked fine. I was really high so eventually I gave up. I'm pretty sure it wasn't just me being dumb though.

This is my favorite story ending. I think it's hilarious, every time.

It still doesn't explain why using the same two pedals (std Crybaby and Jimi Hendrix "sig" FF) behaved so differently in the two stores. Do those Jimifaces vary so much? Anyway, seems that by accident I set it up just right
Fuzz > Wah > Rev (buffered, I guess) > Fuzz. Well, and some other stuff in between but those are what matters.
And yes, I like it very much, makes me wonder why I was frowning on Wahs for such a long time.
No prob bro.
Weird that the pedals would behave so differently, you wouldn't think there's be that much variance between modern pedals. That one's over my head. I do have a Jimiface, and I love it. The other Fuzzfaces I've tried just can't hang. I really just bought it because I got a deal, I've always loved Hendrix, and it looks really damn cool - but turns out, it sounds great. Shocking for a mass-manufactured pedal, maybe I just got a good one....

People who have five guitars and one bass always have a Jazz Bass.

Easier on girly hands? My Yamaha has a huge baseball bat neck and I love it. It always weirds me out when I switch to my Jazz bass after playing the Yamaha for a while.

My geology professor just trolled the crap out of the classroom full of freshmen. He was talking about soil analysis and that you should check your soils before you buy a house someday, and wove this story about a guy who got screwed over because no one did, and ended the story with "and so the guy shot all the realtors. Killed 2, wounded one. Now he lives in a stable jail." Total deadpan, and no more explanation given. The faces in the classroom were hysterical.

I have thought about making a pedal and tell nothing about it. I'd just build some really really loud fuzz and reverse the knobs... so fully counter clockwise they're at max, and fully clockwise they're at min... I'd just put a troll face on there as graphics

I think some people would get their ears blown out.

Put like four pots in there, but three do nothing and the one marked "vol" controls the brightness of the LED. The circuit is always at full volume as soon as you engage it.

i prefer the Precision Bass, really. but they don't hardly make fretless P-Basses, and i really wanted a fretless Fender because i learned to play on a fretless J-Bass when i was in Jazz Improv class in junior college.

This was meant to be taken literally. It was Pepper Jack and the class was Survey in Meteorology.
