Blue on black is a good color combo:

(Plus all those knobs.

)
Also, I don't even play the 5 string violin

We have one of these in the shop I work in (next to a red 12-string Danelectro, I should add) and find myself gazing longingly at it every time I walk past it...

i've looked at those Ellis tenors with interest, but i don't think i want to fuck with a new instrument when i could just retune my Duo Sonic--which has similar electrics to the Ellis excepting what i assume are phase switching options a la the Mustang--and play on the top four strings. if i were to go for a long-necked four-course instrument i'd rather do a mandocello or an Irish bouzouki, or perhaps an electric saz like Lu Edmonds uses with the Mekons. i do like the matching neck and headstock, though.

i've reconsidered that Duo Sonic. it's still a terrible thing to do to an innocent DS, but the short scale combined with Wide Ranges and a Bigsby could do serious harm. it could be the fattest-sounding electric guitar ever.

If they made an electric bouzouki with the same styling as the tenor I'd be totally all over it. Bouzoukis are great fun to play!
Lu Edmonds with his electric saz is great! Coincidentally also rocking the Warren Ellis look...

This needs to play Lexicon Devil or Circle One.

Good eye. Definitely a Germs logo around the LED on the upper right.

Someone should buy it and make it a Trogdor violin. Bonus if it breathes fire.

Should be in the opposite thread..but...
I was looking at that video thinking maybe I was there...but I must have seen them in like 2003 ( my mom bought me tickets so I could be "social"). Sat through Dokken and Ehitesnake too. My friend was covering the event with a press pass so I sat with some old couple in the bleachers. The woman got all hot and fanned herself when whitesnake played that one song. Don Dokken brought out like 40 pairs of sunglasses in his smoking coat jacket; he would wear a pair, throw one to the audience, put on another pair, and repeat.
It was pretty empty at the Centennial Gardens, but not as empty as the Tomahawk and Tool show. ZZ Top was packed though (and the best of my trifecta of why does my mom want me to see these concerts?...she wanted me to go see Alice Cooper in an old movie theater too..same place that Gabrial Iglesias did his first standup special

).
My friend ended up covering a bunch of tattoo fests via phone. Kind of wish I had bought the magazines where he published.
I think a violin burninator is the correct path for the showmanship.

But Mom sent you to see Tomahawk? That's a lifetime cool parenting pass that no amount of forced Whitesnake can revoke
Also, smocking jacket

THATCHED-ROOF COTTAGES!
