I've learned to vibrate my hips in such a way that it creates sympathetic vibrations in the guitar body. All my guitars have terrible belt rash through.

This is part of the marketing. When these guys go to forums, they want the controversy. It has been done several times before (a lot with that steam greenlight and kickstarter video games) and with a few car part companies. They get their name out there in a negative way, which keeps people talking/searching, and eventually they raise their google page rank when the "fire" dies and they sell the company or "change" it. It is, like D.o.S. said, SEO farming/hijacking. He got exactly what he want (but kind of blew it a bit...they usually just make a new account).

edit: I mean, those dude got a TV show out of the exact same thing in the car world and now they are the spokespeople for Dodge.

I think they are trying to get bought out or something. Or just operate on a "on the high end market" and be like Pete Kornish or something . End games for these dudes is always weird. He may be trying to sell out to ebow or fernandes or something. There is no way to see that all the fake contests, custom cars, and car auctions that Gas Monkey was doing at the time was for a TV pitch 2 years later.
