Does sound interesting, the first Faye Sing was nearly what I wanted and one of the problems was it didn't go fast enough so if that's fixed...

I'll have to see how I like the Grand Orbiter, if it doesn't suit me I see a Faye Sing B in my future.

I wonder if the first version could be upgraded?

Curious about your take on the Grand Orbiter.Been enjoying it on it's slowest setting right after delay. It can dirty things up in a good way too. I am still finding some new ways to use it after two months with it.

That being said, I keep looking at that Faye Sing in BST…and there is a Mutron phasor on C-list out here.

btw guys
A couple pieces of news:

-Compact Faye Sing B orders will open on Monday at the Infanem direct store. I'm happy to report that the new improved CFS B will cost only slightly more than its predecessor at $255. As usual, an early bird discount of $25 will be available for the first week of sales. Full specs will be available when sales start and demos -guitar and bass- should be ready a few days after.

-Infanem recently moved shop from Portland, OR to Oakland, CA. To celebrate, a direct store sale! Enter code SUNNYCA at checkout for $30 off any order between now and midnight Saturday.
posted on 28th, so there's still time :) get your discount on!

Just wondering how much the first Compact Faye Sings were. I know the brushed metal ones were more expensive than the other model, but were they really around $255?

Can't remember exactly but I think with preorder discount mine was around $220? That's the number I have in my head anyway

It was 285 for the aluminum ones, 245 for the black

I hope the Faye Sing B is as pretty as the original. Fuck those pedals were beautiful down to those switches

In my experience, the Grand Orbiter is a classic sounding phaser, sparkly and wooshy and the like, best I've ever used if you want that classic phaser sound. The faye sing sounded more like a filter than a modulation box, not that that's a bad thing, the Faye Sing kills with fuzz behind it

Yeah it was kinda filtery, one of my favourite things was using it like a wah with an exp pedal and fuzz. Sounder killer and I've never found a wah I like quite as much as that with fuzz, which is one of my big regrets selling it.

UGH WANT HARD!

Ken if you're lurking out there. Will this run smoothly on 9v? That was one of the biggest reasons I flipped mine. Finicky with different power supplies.

^ Specs are up now: http://www.infanem.com/compact-faye-sing-b/
Says current draw is approximately 150mA. Also: "Internal voltage conversion provides components with isolated bipolar +-12V while using standard 9VDC power. This increases headroom and keeps the circuit dead silent in nearly every setting."
Other cool shit to notice: 4, 6 or 8 stages of modulation, a boost knob for up to 15dB gain and an option for a SECOND expression pedal input for manual phasing…
I already ordered.

I'm seriously considering jumping on this during the pre-order and then having a shootout with my Whetstone. The Whetstone has been a staple on my board for three years now, and is in fact the only dedicated phaser I've ever owned. I really like it, but sometimes I feel like it doesn't quite have what I want. I've always been intrigued by the Faye Sing, but the power requirements definitely scared me off in the past. Top mounted jacks is a huge plus over the Whetstone too... I see that the preorder discount has a few more days left so I'm going to think about it.
