:p that one was funny, I'll grant you that.
I mean, nobody can argue that there are fossils...it's just a difference in opinion on when/how they got there :idk:

oh come on... don't be offended by something like that, please

i think the main reason why religious people are being laughed at like this is that you people take your beliefs way too seriously

Touche'...though I will say that I am a Christian and I felt that the comments in that graphic were unfair and over-simplified the issues presented..
Everybody has the right to their own opinion, and I don't want to turn this into a big uncomfortable discussion on religion and philosophy..but suffice it to say that I feel there are some unfair assumptions made in that list.

I can agree with you that it is oversimplified, but that's what makes it funny.

I don't think it was a poke at Christianity but more a poke at the hypocrisy of evangelical and fundamentalist types.

fair enough, but what I was getting at is that, to alot of people, those aren't oversimplified stereotypes, but what they actually think about Christianity..and I take issue with that.

anyway..sorry to dig up more dirt....let's all just be friends

This is why I love ILF,..

Aside from the fact that this conversation would be forbidden/deleted on Talkbass,...if it did take place this would have deteriorated into an all out flame war in a nano clone (I hate that pedal). Here we can have a difference of philosophical religious opinion and still respect and get along. I guess fuzz addicts are just more civilized. :idk:

perhaps its because the inherent nature of fuzz is to distort a signal beyond all logical comprehension and still make it beautiful and harmonious.

it doesn't matter if its a big muff, superfuzz, maestro, or tone factory, its all fuzz. and it is good

"And on the first day, God came down from heaven and said: 'Let there be fuzz' and made it so. It was most excellent."

and there, in a nutshell, is why i really like this forum...people don't seem to have that burning desire to argue that most forums and their users exhibit.

i say its the size, and since its mostly about gear and music, theres not a lot of controversial topics and opinions.

its refreshing that even in a gear based forum i see very little bashing of pop and hip-hop. but mostly i love the universal loathing of DMB and Phish

LET THE FLAME WARS BEGIN!!!!!!

okay not really. I used to really be into Phish,...not as much these days but I've been to a bunch of shows and had a really good time (Got free shrooms at one show). I have a bunch of live bootlegs and all but the last two of their studio records. I enjoy them, but like religion and herpes,...it's not something I'd ever force on anyone.
