It's not so much that, and more like the new album is boring polished crap.

Went into a bourgeois guitar store here in Austin. Least expensive guitar was over $2000. Made me feel gross like I walked into TGP irl.

Pedals are stressing me the Fuck out lately I've been obsessing over what reverb to get, nothing seems like it'll do what I want except the big sky or empress and Fuck paying that much
Also tried to do a dirt shootout but ended up deciding I can't sell anything yet because I'm too attached to everything
Wanna take a break from this stuff and sell down the line but I need some things for certain sounds in my band and need a reverb to replace my rm1n which I dnt working in the band context

There's a lot of power and personality in cheap old rack verbs, just saying.

Seconded. I dunno if you're going for the currently popular modulated ocean waves hipsterverb or more of a natural effect, but digital racks have just about every possible verb sound and there are some awesome real spring rack reverbs out there on the second hand market.
