I just saw City and Colour with Hacienda opening for them, and I can honestly say, its been the best concert I've been to.

And Dallas Green shook my hand and told me I was a badass....

This whole board contest stuff makes me rethink my board. Started shifting stuff around and mixing things that are normally not mixed. Fun times.

Rediscovered how much fun it is to use a stereo signal and the Moog ring mod to modulate the signal with itself. That is like one of my favourite distortion tones.

I simply use a pedal with stereo out for splitting purposes, now that's the El Cap, used to be the Digidelay and run right > audio in left > carrier in. This will result in an unaffected tone when you play a single note but the more complex a chord will get, the crazier it is, because all the notes in the chord start modulating the others. This results in a quite bitcrushey insane sound. It starts to get really fun when you go like this though:

right > fuzz > audio in & left > carrier in
or another good option:
right > audio in & left > glitchy octavey shit > carrier in

ah, well, I could go on, but you get the idea. I have got a little trouble with volume loss while doing this unfortunately. Again I wish the drive in the Moog would be bypassed as well. I am pretty sure that sticking a FB loop in that construction will yield mad results as well, but I am at work now and hung over too. Tonight will probably consist of Polizeiruf 110 and early sleeping, instead of noisy experiments.

Thanks breaux!
Great input!
Another idea based on your input: you can build yourself an "intelligent" ring mod: just use in the left channel the harmony synth before the ring mod carrier in. With single notes you can define the carrier (5th, 4th and what else is available at the harmony synth). Have to check that myself :)
