I only have the Quadratt so far but it's quite nice to have, and I look at it as a space to DIY simple stuff like manual switches or logic or mults. I gotta order some parts to make some of that stuff...

But yeah, recommended. & If you do go Intellijel just know you can't use the other 1u formats cuz they are spaced for vector rails. Intellijel modules will fit in the other formats but they have a a bit if a gap. MW has a few threads showing pics.

Figures that I buy new Doepfer cases last week and then yesterday the owner of Amalgamod says my waitlist number is up. I signed up last November! Had totally forgotten and now I can’t afford to change things up.

Why is eurorack just like putting a vacuum into your wallet?? Just got a DLD when I really need more VCAs and a clock... dammit. Guess I'll just have some fun while I contemplate my choices.

Me and mah dad are DIYing the 6U case I was planning. The wood we bought better be good, it was expensive, but the exact same case could be made out of plywood. Similar to the monorocket style cases, some ppl on muff have DIY'd them quite well.
I've always been half planning to DIY a case, but never followed through. If I ever expand past a 104hp 4U, I will definitely be DIYing

Whatever the reason, I'm gonna be loving it now  I've wanted one of these since I learned about it. Didn't think I'd have the chance to own one for a long time but it's happening and I'm stoked.

mannnnn i DO. and i'll grab another some day. but i use the SCM a lot more right now, and pretty sure that and the Mito willing cover all the Riots i was using. it's so good, just too much space for me right now.

neeeeeaat! i'm so shit at diy stuff. i am EXCITED about the DNGR though. i want a two level angled dangler BAD, and folding portable goodness is BOSS.

also, he let me mod it a bit decision wise. WOOT.

Any fans of the 4ms SMR or MI Rings here? Any cool videos of Rings not doing percussion? Maybe processing audio? Still working my way through the Muffs thread. Looking for ambient examples. But not the same examples I'm hearing over and over. Is that all it can do? :P

Looking for something that can do a washed out layer of chords. These both seem capable. I should probably just learn how to patch my Just Friends. Haha. The SMR seems like a good compliment to the Just Friends.

I don’t care for Rings as an audio processor effect. But I do think there are cool results to be had from trying different sound sources into the In jack, just thinking of them as exciters and Rings as the voice - rather than audio in as the voice and Rings as the effect. Just my 2c I’m sure someone else will disagree.

Also, I was looking through the "show off your eurorack" thead on MW and the pictures of giant modular walls actually give me anxiety.
I have no idea how I'd be able to work with all that choice.

Most of the people with walls of modular don't really work with them, they play a bit but that's it.
I'm not saying it's bad, I'm doing the same (lack of) thing with my small system :).

But overall people like Richard Devine who own huge systems and actually use them are the exception more than the rule. And even he plays with "only" a 12U case live (and he's really good live, btw).
