Digitech’s socials have been priming how to pronounce “chthonic” this week. Today they used a picture of Chthulu. The Carcosa has already been back, so probably not that but something new. I guess we will find out if this is something that was already on the road map that Tom Cram and crew dusted off when they got the reins back or something more recently devised.

Zoar is a medium-high gain discrete distortion (using only transistors; no opamps or diodes in here!) that has that touch sensitive amp-like quality to it that everyone craves.

Zoar can handle power up to 18v DC. Higher voltages will yield a different frequency response with more defined dynamics and a faster response.

sounds like a Distortion+ or Blues Driver with a more sophisticated tone stack (like, any tone stack at all). it would be nice if the demo-ist could not play above 80% gain for most of the clip, though, or actually use those knobs to demonstrate tone shaping rather than just sweeping from ON to OFF in a few seconds.
