Kid A is better than OK Computer. Oh wait, this isn't an unpopular opinion? Cool.
It's not unpopular, but it is correct.
Kid A trounces
OK Computer. But
The Bends is the best Radiohead album and I've thought about this. But anyway... if you haven't put
Kid A on, on good speakers, and turned all the lights off and just lay in there in the dark listening to
Everythiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing, in its riiiiiiight plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace, you haven't really lived.
Black One is the best Sunn O))) album and technically is not actually black metal.
Does anyone think it's black metal? But yeah, it's amazing. I like
White 2 better, though... they should do a
Black Two.
Broken > The Downward Spiral > The Fragile > Further Down the Spiral > the rest
Further Down The Spiral is all filler no killer but I agree with the order presented here, other than that.
Siamese Dream is not a great album. Mellon Collie has no filler whatsoever.
Both are awesome, and I agree! Everybody says
Mellon Collie is bloated but I don't see it. You have to be in for the long haul with that album. It's a journey.
Wanna go for a ride? LOL

I have been operating under a false definition of buttrock all this time. To me buttrock is that embarrassing, attempt-to-be-sexy rock that dads play. Like a rung above blues rock and bar rock on the proverbial ladder. This is a poorly worded definition. It is all to say that I used to love Broken, but something about it feels off these days.

You all haven't lived until you have had to work with a guy in his late 40's singing along "I WANNA FUCK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAL BAAAAHHHHH!!!!" every fucking time closer comes on the radio… do any of you how often that fucking song gets played on seattle radio? :surprise:

see because of the above I'd always just assumed they were some sort of deviantart/proto-line cook metal crossover. Where should I start? Bearing in mind I basically hate listening to music these days.

Just listen to Coil instead.

Basically I follow this maxim a lot. There is a Coil for every mood.

Actually you can't go wrong with anything from the TG family tree (although I don't really listen to much Psychic TV or Gen. solo stuff).

then don't bother with NIN unless you want to hear a couple of nifty Coil textures forced into sampler-disco pop rock.
