Amon Amarth is coming to town and I want to see them bad! I don't know anyone that likes them though and really don't want to go to a concert alone. That would suck.

Sometimes I prefer going to shows alone if its an act im really into so I can just focus on the music and not worry if everyone is having a good time or keeping track of everyone. If im not sure how I feel about an act or just going to check out a band I definitely like having someone's ear to talk off. But smartphones are a wonderful repacement for friends these days. Fuck that trying to meet people shit.

Ayyyy but no seriously going alone can be great drinking or not. I've certainly gone to shows sober without friends before and had a blast.

I've been to entire festivals by myself before. I dance stupid if I want, mosh if I feel like it, leave in the middle of the act if I ain't into it, and I don't have to defend my "weird" music preferences to my friends/lovers.

And yeah - alcohol + sweaty crowds + smoke breaks is a great way to meet people

Nah dude it'll be fun. I'm going to a show next week 'by myself', even though there will be ILF friends there -- I'd still be going if they weren't a part of it.

As others have said, going alone is awesome. Great sense of freedom, not having to care about the interests of others, and most often you'll wind up meeting new people.

Absolutely, I love going to shows alone.
