I basically had a chop-saw blow up on me today... somehow the left side fence's set screw came lose [I think] and it tipped in the way of the blade which ended up ripping the fence off the saw [only a big piece of fucking metal] and thew it 5 feet away... also broke 13 teeth of of the blade.... NOT COOL! One of those moments where you look around and say "alright! I'm still alive and have all me bits and pieces....

i always check that i have my fingers and my eyeballs and were all good to go

I think what really helped was that I was cutting 6" X 12" beam stock which acted as a shield. Oh FYI the saw was a Ridged.

i've got a math test in the morning and i just got back from the animal hospital because one of my dogs decided that she wanted a bone that the other dog had. apparently she felt the need to use excessive violence by biting the other one's throat twice. the vet charged me $300 to "clean him up". apparently this fucking means shaving around the gashes, giving him a shot, and giving him back to me while his wounds are wide open and he's still bleeding on their fucking floor. no stitches, not even a fucking bandage. seriously not in a good mood, and might have to put him down as a result of this
