Lol I'll cherish that bottom plate and the rest of the enclosure that's all crazy messed up with paint right now.

That was just the box that I test circuits in before I wire them up in their actual boxes so it'll see good use

It would be hard to do it without drippage.

I find the drippage strangely attractive. It reminds me of the glazes I loved in the ceramics classes I took.

If it was super globby that would bug me but it turned out *almost* smooth

Yeah they are. I'm a total ceramics nerd :)*

I've also decided that this finish is too sweet to be my circuit testing box anymore. I need some kind of delay or modulation in there.

That looks like someone dragged it out from under a glacier or something awesome like that.

mmmmmmmm....something about dunking a pot/ bowl/ whatever in glaze/ it being all lame/ MAD HEAT/ red hot/ melty melty BAM gorgoeus glass is just so overwhelmingly satisfying. Even if the handful of ceramic classes I took involved 99% females and....me. JABBRIN'

Raku is my favorite.

Clear glaze + porcelain + raku firing = super awesome.

Only thing is you can't eat or drink out of it.

Finished this guy up today. Didn't take very long. It's a Thomas Organ Cry Baby that I rewired:

I was messing with some paints this morning and I took some advice from above and did a thick coat of Rustoleum Hammered green and then a thick coat of Rustoleum Hammered grey on top as it was wet. I tossed it in the oven and baked it for 15 minutes on 200 degrees and then let it cool for 30 minutes. This was the results.

Im getting this consistently also. I just did a second one and it came out the same. This time I did the grey first then the green. Its still drying.

Nice. Hammered plus metallic silver is cool as well.
