I used one of those Mallory caps in mine too. Did you use the "stock" or "Albini" specs? I used the latter, but didn't realize for like a year that I had the 2n3565 turned the wrong way!
It worked but not like it should. It is vicious now!

I went for "stock" specs. Also put two BAT41's in series for each slot in one of the diode clipping stages.

Well I've been building more and more recently, so I decided to tackle an idea I've had rattling around my head for a while now. I wanted to build a table top multi effects unit for noise fun, so I took four of the PCBs available from musicpcb.com and wired them all into pretty purple box.
There are three effects order switches to give 16* effects order combinations. The boards used are the Gristlizer, Echobase, Christine and Uglyface. All in all it's damn good fun. I'll try and post a video demo soon- it works well with a drone, a guitar, keys or as a stand alone noise maker. The wiring inside the box isn't perfect but it's a big step up in quality for me, so I'm pretty proud of it
*edit- there're only 8 order combinations, my bad!

The Stock version is way better? I etched the madbean layout and did the albini specs. I like it but it's definitely tame and have been using it as an overdrive. Full tilt it seems a little muffled but it has it's own weird character, which I like. If it were more fuzzy I would like it better. Maybe I should the stock version if it's got more balls...

Modded my Echo Dream to be fuzz footswitchable today! The toggle for fuzz is now a two way toggle for more or less fuzz and the old clean tone indicator is now a big white fuzz status LED
Now it is awesome!

Also finished this Lovepedal Les Lius clone tonight. I am still waiting for my knobs, so I just grabbed a few I had laying around. This thing sounds amazing and it will definitely get put on my board.
