I mean, let's go back to modules-focused gear onanism as usual.
With bits of other things sprinkled on top.
Not sure that was the best wording ever.

It's got the "smash", which I assume is a trig input, but does it simply DO something when trigged and is a normal VCO the rest of the time, or does it have to be triggered?
not sure if basimilus or manis, later on.
Going back to that : I think it's basically the same as BIA, you need a trigger to get a sound. These are designed as percussion/drum modules first.
I'd love it if there was a way for my BIA to be always on and ignore its internal envelope... It works great as a melodic voice (that gets fucked up easily) too and the max decay is not *that* long.

Seems weird that they designed it in that way, surely it could have been done to make noise whenever the input is over xV and then the env kicks in when it falls below the threshold. That way it would still work as normal for drums with a trigger but could be more interestingly melodic with gates or other signals...

When did I write this? Never owned a Rene or Metropolis.
I would like to, though.
Ah it was one of my alt accounts. I mean...Strange Tales.
whoa that is weird af
I fixed it but it should have been

Anyways I spent some time pinging my Three Sisters yesterday (TWSS) and that was freaking awesome. I am shocked at how deep the rabbit hole goes, even with four modules & a 0-coast.
I broke down and bought a Rings & I'm getting Res's Peaks, so I really should be good for a while this time

Speaking of 0-Coast, everybody saw this right?

Two new MakeNoise modules based on the 'Dynamix' and 'Contour' circuits in 0-Coast.

Also, I must have missed the actual launch date of the new site but it looks like company formerly known as 'The Harvestman' has finally rebranded as 'Industrial Music Electronics' with a functioning site (which totally took like 4eva).

Been thinking that Dynamix will be the perfect dual VCA for me. I use the built in ones on the 0-coast and Mangrove, but I'll have a Rings soon and it'd be cool to use it as a processor and have that run through a VCA. Also the contour isn't too much sexier than the one on the 0-coast, but that inverted out (w/o need for external processing/using up a good attenuverter) is

Pretty powerful duo there, especially since you can crossfade two voices super easily using the normal and inverted outs.

Also the beginning of the eventual phasing out of the pure vactrol, since they are toxic.

If it is the exact circuit it should be able to do that. I remember that stood out in the demo as he called attention to that being a principle used in Serge modules (process and generate audio). And I agree with meh -> Great.

I've been starting to explore the realm of modulating stuff on Rings at audio rate. Green mode with a square wave in, Damping around 9 o'clock, and Brightness and Structure modulated makes some awesome sounds.

I just splurged on some random stuff that I don't need but will make things slightly easier and nicer looking. 100 Befaco Knurlies and black Magpie panels for Rings and O_C on the way
