idk, i like them. Its all a feel thing. they are very smooth and easy to slide around on. tension is different then a roundwound set. Id say try it but maybe u dont like it who knows

I used flatwounds for a while when i still played fast. I loved the feel, but they always seemed to go dead way fast for me. Might have just been the brand i bought, which i can't remember.

Ancient Astronaught wrote:How do you guys feel about letting bands borrow gear? Say its a small 3 person semi-acoustic band that is friends with your band, and they always open for you when you play together but at EVERY show they never ever ever bring an amp and always ask at the last minute or sometimes don't ask at all until their getting on stage.

My thought is my personal gear is off limits to anyone not in my band, or if I'm playing a show and someones rig takes a massive shit during their set. Then I'm open to the notion of letting them borrow it, but I'm not open to supplying someone with a rig at every show we play together.

If you're going to play shows, come prepared. If your amp died and you have no other option then I will help out but not bringing anything and then asking other bands to put their gear on the line for your lazy ass is absurd. I save up to ensure I have a backup amp and guitars. I don't make a shit ton of money by any stretch of the imagination. If you're going to waste peoples time and money playing shows you need to have your shit in order.

Hi mate...this was a fair few pages ago, but i was talking about the Ritual pedal and the way that the fuzz cuts out momentarily when my guitar volume is on high and you mentioned thats because of the fuzz face characteristics of the pedal.

So I'm assuming the Pharaoh and the LSTR wont have the same issue right as they are from the Muff family. Only reason i'm asking is that i'm very close to pulling the trigger on a Sarcophagus.

i have a DOD American Metal (very much like HM-2)... a Korg AX5g multi-effects unit.... a Digitech Hot Head, an Ibanez SH-7 and an old Ibanez Swell Flanger (SF10), which is absolutely fantastic.
