I literally bought a PS3 just so I could play the EA Skate games and the occasional AC (cause it plays better on console)
I also recently just bought a wii so I could purely play Brawl on it. No regrets

I call bullshit
A game will always run better on a PC and If you don't like keyboard/mouse you can connect a ps3/xbox controller and use it as a gamepad

f'reals. i have a 360 for gaming, then a WiiU for Nintedostalgic stuff, and i was a huge PS2 fan boy when that mattered. there are only like 3 titles that are exclusive to PS anymore, and the only one i REALLY care about is Ratchet And Clank.
i dunno. see, not only is it that i DO have some games i still play through occasionally on the PS3 (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, R&C), but they JUST STARTED RERELEASING A LOT OF THE PS2 GAMES IN HD COLLECTIONS. if i'm buying them now in redid graphics, even IF they think they'll have a working PS3 emulator, which they DON'T, than why am i going to have 2 consoles? to play the like 1 game that will come out a year PS exclusive that i actually care about? i think that they showed that people didn't get anything extra buying a PS3 over a 360. AND it was like $300 more. since the ONLY thing PS has going for it is it's library, and most of those are older, i see a huge loss of value going from the 3 to the 4.
plus, the incompatible save files is fucking ridiculous. that's just lazy. and a horrible decision if it stays like that. it's just data code, not something that needs to be executed in a certain way that would be processor specific. it's a database incompatibility issue.
guh. Nerd Rage Boner. i haz.

As well as FFXIII, which took me 5 months to get through.
Still, my GTX670 gpu is almost the price of a PS4 so fuck it?

that's not always true, a lot of PC games are ports from console games. Some companies don't do a very good job porting over to PC so they end up not running very well unless you have a really nice pc.
In my case I would need to spend more money than buying a PS3 to upgrade my PC up to the point to where it would run as well as it would on the PS3

Yeah, seems like with most games that are on all platforms, the PC version is always a really shitty port.

Yeah, gaming companies are lazy. I've had plenty of experience with bad ports

You can still make comparable PCs that would still out perform a ps4 at about the same pricepoint.
http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/02/21/pc-ga ... ner-right/Though, there is a good enough PC community that can modify patches and make games run better so you don't have to rely on companies like EA, which are the the biggest culprits of this.
I am a little tired of the PC vs PS4/720 arguments from bullshit news articles about Devs releasing retarded claims. yes the new consoles will out perform non gaming PCs. It's honestly not that expensive to have a good PC, pcs don't need to be incredibly over powered, I am not OCing my CPU or GPU and can get smooooooth gameplay in Mass Effect 3 at ultra.
It's all opportunity cost, have a good PC and get cheaper games.

got a 3ds for christmas with Maroland 3d preinstalled and a copy of Ocarina of Time 3d, I must say that the upgrade to Ocarina in amazing the landscapes are rendered much better as are all the npcs in the game... Link looks a lot better too. That being said I still like the n64 version of the game and was floored the first time i played it... have a copy of that as well and still play it from time to time... The 3ds allows you to switch items on the fly much better than the 64 version, like in the water temple where you have to switch between iron boots and regular boots... also got a copy of street fighter 4 3d as well and its totally awesome!!! the online is great with little to no lag most of the time... really easy to pick up and play as the touch screen can be used to trigger supercombos etc. you can also set the controls to standard for those skilled enough to not need the touch screen to do supercombos... anyways been playing the shit out of my 3ds and i recommend it based on zelda and street fighter alone... marioland is pretty good too.. new super mario bro's 2 is the shit as well... Ramble Ramble Ramble....

The 3DS has been picking up steam over the last year and a half. They're fun, but I'm not sure I'd play it enough to justify buying one. I had a regular DS for a little while and I honestly never played the thing.
In other news, I started playing GoW: Judgement last night with my 360 co-op buddy. Pretty awesome game so far. Anyone else have it? Add me on Live (LOCOPELAND) and we'll get some 4 player co-op going!
