Heck yes! Old Wounds is up there in my favorite records list. I still listen to that jank, at least, a few times a week.

i feel uncomfortable as fuck playing bass/guitar when my roommate is in.

HOPE I CAN REMEMBER WHAT I WAS DOING WHEN SHE LEAVES AGAIN.
also i'm trying to figure out a way to best record/write/remember my shit. i use audacity when i'm jamming but WHAT NEXT?!?! how do you guys do it? i could just transcribe to guitar pro then do what ever but my copy of gp5 randomly stopped working.
tried to use ableton but programming drums is soooo hardd.

i've been defeated too many times today.

Writing, I generally go for tabs with proper notation rhythms written underneath if I feel like I'll need them. Reaper is good for recording free, use whatever drum plugin you want and program them in midi which is easy.

I make a super rough recording with my ipod touch using dropvox. Then I tab it out after.

I like this idea. Do it.

I feel like it should be scotch, but then I couldn't use the second slogan.

you could use the variant: "Come out." which also makes for a better advertising tag because it directly engages the reader. "hey, c'mon out...", dig?

But "come out of the Closet" just doesn't seem like the best slogan attempting to appeal to a wider audience.

Depends on how you handle it.
I don't know anyone who boycotted South Park over Tom Cruise in the closet.
Except for Tom Cruise, of course.

I just drove past two Asian people walking down the street holding hands and I couldn't tell if it was a college-age couple or a middle aged woman and her visibly retarded ten year old son.
