The gameplay is frustratingly bad and the english translation sucks, but there's something amazing hidden there; a really interesting story, a good economy, and just uniqueness. It's not fun in the conventional sense but I'm enjoying a very new experience.

So because I've been unable to commit to playing games recently I've said that this is going to be the only game I play until I finish it. Aaaaand it's kind of a chore. I can't tell whether the translation is bad or if the game was just written to be mental, because the odd, disjointed dialogue REALLY fits with the atmosphere.

Yeah, but look at the success of Ultima Online and especially the Ultima series though.

The Kickstarter for inXile's sequel to Planescape: Torment has already hit $2.2m, and it's only been, what, three days? Awesome. Backed.

Also, Shadowrun Returns looks good:

Going to be preordering it in a few days, probably.

Going to be a good couple of years for CRPGs. :yay:

Yeah, that's true. I like to read tales of people griefing in Ultima Online, it makes me remember the magic of my first few MMOs.

Also, dudes, nobody told me Lumines was awesome.

I need some more relaxing games, too...anything you guys know of that's on PSP/PSX/any gameboy/NES/Genesis/SNES/etc. Something I can play while I'm laying in bed.

Sword of the Stars - The Pit. Really awesome rogue-like RPG. 9 bucks on Steam.

Man... in Battlefield 3, I died randomly and a message popped up saying, "You were killed by the mod".

REALLY?! Dude was pissed because I was holding a flag in conquest and he was in a tank (with another guy). He drove back and forth several times, unloading all kinds of ammo, and didn't hit me once. He was pissed and claimed I was a noob. What a fucking joke.

Clearly I need my own server.
