Re: Setup of the day thread?

this was my rig when recording yesterday, no other processing at all. OD-3 dircet almost sounded too good (I wanted that juper junky slacker rock vibe)

Re: Setup of the day thread?
Got an invite to make actual sounds in an actual room with actual other humans! Feels like things are finally shifting.
Put away the lap steel and pulled this together as a take-out-of-the-house rig. I'm using my Tascam 4-track as mixer/end of line tool. The upper pedals are in the effects loop, lower ones are the line in.
Taking the Rucci touch synth as a soundmaker, plus that l'il steel tongue drum, and probably the Blackfly and maybe something else easy to carry along. Plus using Zoia on its own as a synth.

Re: Setup of the day thread?
I mostly just changed them out of necessity. Absolutely wrecked the originals cause they didnt have the brass housing

Re: Setup of the day thread?
When you need some dirt, some other dirt, some more dirt and then a final touch of dirt, just for the sake of sort-of-monochromatism

I must say I miss a delay and a fuzz here, having both the Elements and Longsword is a bit redundant, even if they are used for totally different things.

Hm you could buy bit bigger pedalboard and then add dirt instead of a delay

Re: Setup of the day thread?
Forgot to get picks but: Fredric Double-Face>Wilson Wah (forgot which one)>Fuzzrocious OSD>Pitchfactor>Maxon AD80>SVT-iiP
Trying to get those mid-70s John Wetton tones and I'd say I succeeded fairly. Half-volume fuzz face on bass is underrated
With the volume maxed it was really mushy with the OSD after but not entirely useless with the wah. 8-9 was the sweetspot though for that sick lead-bass wah wah tone

Re: Setup of the day thread?
After a long time, I've undusted a bit some my noise synths and came up with this tiny setup.
JMT SNB2n w/ Korg SQ1 and Electrograve Quad Oscillator into a passive mixer, then Sunfish Audio Ikigai to have some FXs to mangle on the flight, Throat Locust to distort, and Zoom MS70 for more complex FXs processing. Finally 1440 for some looping.
I'll be soon aways from home for 5 weeks due to work, so I'm gonna bring some small machines with me. Digitakt & Zoom H5 are already packed, and then maybe, not all the devices pictured here, but a JMT and the Zoom MS70 for sure.

Machines go: BR4RZZSWAZGHGHGHRRRRRRRRRSQUEEEEKZZZZBRRRR

Been toying with a noisy setup for guitar earlier today:

It delivers some serious Clang and destruction.
Signal chain is as shown: first in line the Pest Tattern as velcro-ish fuzz with random overtones popping here and there, Bitquest set for ring modulator+reverb, Haxan as main distortion (but I later substitute it with the Virus for less gain but more wild harmonics and octaves), Clang always on, Feber set for fast trem or added ring modulation, and CT5 to pitch shift everything and mess up things.
EHX 1440 is the latest addition for looping duties.
@gila we should jam with those two setups

Re: Setup of the day thread?

Making some park drones with friends this weekend, so testing this out as a super-portable outdoor rig. Will output to a pair of 5w mini-amps.
Testing out this rechargeable power brick for its first trip out of the house. The digital pedals seem okay with it. Played for about an hour, and then have been running a Music-for-airports loop collage for the past half hour and it's still showing fully charged.
