Thanks, dudes! I originally wanted to call the Kerosene, Atomizer instead of Kerosene but I think Kerosene looked better with that font. I kinda rushed that one as I had the board done for ages and just wanted to box it cause I had those enclosures. Don't really like the orange or the font so I'll probably end up stripping it and redoing since I only have a few of those wedgies and could do something a little better. The circuit is a weird one, too. Very subtle, more of any overdrive but has these weird artifacts that are distinct. I was kinda blah at first but it does sound good through a cranked amp. I think it may be a good one to keep around and see how it interacts with other pedals at various settings. I have a telecaster deluxe but need to get something with single coils. I bet this one sounds real good with single coils.

Officer Bukowski wrote:Would you mind letting me know where you get those slanted enclosures? They look similar to the ones at pedalenclosures.com but a little different..

Also, after I saw your rehouse of Jrmy's Buzzaround I went and ordered parts for a super mojo'd out tagboard Buzzaround. I'm really excited to build it!

I got the enclosures from Mac Walker at DIYstomp. They were about 5 bucks each and are the size of a Hammond BB but a little longer. I had to tap into the two pieces that form the enclosure to allow for the screws. I had never done this before but it was easy and something new learned. He's out of these enclosures but is interested in making more if there's interest. I contacted him about doing custom sizes and he's willing to work with you but you would need to give him dimensions and probably order a minimum to make it work his time. I usually make my stuff in bigger boxes and I want to sometime down the road get him to make me some of those boxes that look like the Rosac Nu Fuzz. Those just look so cool!

Mac's a cool guy! And if you're ever wanting to get rid of it dude, hit me up. I've been wanting a HP for a while now and would LOVE to see that on my board OH SHEET

Normally I don't post builds here, but these two are personal builds instead of commercial builds.

First up, a Phase 45 from Madbean's Smoothie. Sounds sweet with the vibe switch. Quasi-Univibe territory.

Next, a Mini Fuzz Face. First mini enclosure and it turned out pretty nice if I say so myself.

I commend you for the full size pots in the 1590a

It was risky, but it wasn't as tight as I expected. At least not with those open frame jacks. They would never fit with enclosed jacks.

I got 3 full size pots, enclosed jacks, and an eyelet board in a mini once...

Maybe I should find that, because I'll never do it again. :picard:

Now you're just showing off.

But that's pretty badass.

Made me some wooden enclosures. They'll hold a nasty silicon distortion, fuzz, Jfet clean boost/buffer, and germanium Rangemaster clone.

plywood tops and bottoms, middles made out of a jigsawed board.
Shielding tape all the way around the insides.

I wanted everyone who sees these on my pedalboard to know they're
something different, something that I made, and I'm terrible at
painting enclosures and such, so I figured the wood would be something
deliciously different from the majority of aluminum boxes out there.

Thanks, they please me to no end. A lot of people look down on plywood, thinking it's for
people who can't afford solid wood, but it's stronger for stepping on, and the layers in the
wood look beautiful when stained in the final product. It means even more to me to have
made them with my grandfather, who is suffering from incurable cancer.
