I did... Do you know how to make it look more like the cap? The larger hammered marks. Do I need to do a crazy think coat? I really like the hammered look paint but I wanted something a little more extreme than the results I got. I'm sure I'm doing it wrong.
Like the others have said, you have to spray it on really thick. I like to do a thin coat just to get the color on first though, because when the texturing happens you'll be able to see the primer or metal in the bottom of the little craters.
Make sure you give each coat enough time to cure or else you'll get a wrinkly finish.
There's something to be said about the finish you achieved with the thin coats though. It looks great. I only knew because I've done the same thing before, but it's a great look.
Also it seems like one of your knobs is slightly out of line. If it bothers you, you can drill out the hole a little bigger and use the extra space to fudge it into line

I just finished building this. I covered it in real tweed.

I really need to make a 2 tier board. I find it hard to get to some of my back pedals on my PedalTrain. Very clean looking.

It just poplar under the tweed. Pretty cheap stuff.
It was a good amount of work, but a blast to build and I'm happy with it

I always love the look of your builds Laowiz. So raw and gritty.. They're so cool!
Would you mind letting me know where you get those slanted enclosures? They look similar to the ones at pedalenclosures.com but a little different..
Also, after I saw your rehouse of Jrmy's Buzzaround I went and ordered parts for a super mojo'd out tagboard Buzzaround. I'm really excited to build it!
