My CR120 with the right fuzz pedal doesn't sound too far off from that.

Well sheeeit

gotta love the OR120 + fuzz thing going on there.

Any idea what they're using? That's some gnarly fuzz, and doesn't sound too scooped out

No 100% confirmation but I think its something as simple as a vintage muff with the right spec

On other notes, now that the HM2 kit pcb was been a super awesome success, would other people in the DR be interested in doing another DIY project with an OR120 JFET emulation designed by me?

YES

I know a number of you have self released stuff, I'd love to hear what you did, what worked, what didn't, what you wish you'd done, etc. I'm trying to edjamahkate myself on the various options.

I started a thread here- viewtopic.php?f=247&t=46626&p=943677#p943677

Toner Low is around and playing shows in EU, releasing merch and whatnot. I think all of the members, at the very least the guitarist and bassist are also in a crust/grind type band that plays around a lot as well. I follow them on FB and they post fairly regularly, just don't play the states or do new releases very fast. Killer band, one of my all time favorites.

In related news, it's looking likely that we'll be out again this fall with a sort of big band. My body is ready.

I'm fishing for some ideas here...

I will soon have an aluminium neck per the below pic. These necks are set up to fit fender style bodies, Strats, Tele's and Jags. Now I'm sure those measurements that these guitars share are probably shared amongst other brands too (??).

At first i was set on making an Esquire...buying a cheap squire tele and slapping the neck on...buying a good bridge pickup and new scratchplate to cover the neck routing as well. Then, if necessary, in the future slowely upgrade the hardware.

But then i started seeing other bolt on guitar shapes, some weird tele shapes and offsets...now i'm open to more ideas of what this guiatr could be.

I do like the idea of a 1 pickup guitar though, single coil or P90 and not really keen on a trem...so anyone got any ideas for me?

for asthetic ref, this is the neck...

This guy on ebay always has cool bodies sale, if you're open to the idea of finishing it yourself. http://stores.ebay.com/Saylor-Custom-Shop-Guitars

Where's the neck from? That thing is niiiice. Too bad I'm already in a relationship, I just ordered a warmoth neck.

Fyi traditional tele neck heel is more square shaped than the more standard rounder strat heel. A tele heel won't fit in a strat pocket, but a strat will fit in the tele pocket, with a little space in the corners next to the neck pickup.

I came in here to suggest Burns Bison, or Univox High Flyer, or one of those soviet Aelitas....

but Axman nailed it.

Although, reverse Ric would be rad as well.

Fuck. Now I wanna do that.

After looking at a bunch of EGC pictures im starting to go towards the offset side of things.

Abd that firebird is also pretty cool...i think also an RD would be cool.

I did think RD before...and Fireman, which would offset your Iceman.
