Slowly re-building my board after selling most of my gear over the past couple years to pay for things like dental bills and a wedding ring. Going to replace the SHOD as soon as I can sell it to help fund a new OD purchase, most likely a ss/bs mini.

That looks so fun. Exactly up my alley. Does the black fountain handle normal delays pretty well for you?

It does, but that sort of takes the fun away. The Iso-5 is holding a spot for a digital delay/reverb that I definitely can't afford right now. Hoping I'll see some deals on Reverb or craigslist from people funding Avalanche Run purchases.

Today is the first day I've even heard of the Dark Matter. And $50?

How's the Black Fountain/Meteore combo? Do you run the Meteore dirty or clean? I've been heavily considering both.

I love the combo. If you're playing outside of your apartment or house or whatever, it's going to require some tweaking between songs unless you have another reverb that you can use for your basic sounds. At the moment, I'm not playing outside of my apartment so it doesn't matter. My favorite setting is Regen at 1:30, Size at 9, and Attack at 11.

I don't use the Meteore exclusively clean or dirty. I think the "Attack" sweet spot is between 9 and 12 o'clock. I have noticed that if I am using a delay in front of it with any modulation (Carbon Copy, Fluid knob on the Black Fountain, etc) the Attack controls on the Meteore tend to amplify that sound.

Edit: Also, you can get some great rhythmic drones right on the edge of oscillation by cranking the feedback/mix on the Blackfountain and basically any setting on the Meteore with the Attack above 9.

neat freak trigger warning...

came up with this yesterday. dirty verbz for days. my other guitar dude has been too busy to practice so i decided i needed a bigger sound. path is:
OCD -> quantum leap set to chorus -> brassmaster clone -> RV3 -> splits into:
A: pharaoh ->amp
B: dod 250 -> dd5 -> behringer reverb on chorus mode -> rub-a-dub reverb -> amp

or pharaoh into the 250 instead and have one long chain. cuz options. for bedroom jamming the pharaoh side is going into a tuberider head on a homemade 2x12 with some 70's celestions and the rub a dub side goes into my Janky Amps cigar box amp. gonna try the dirt into my butcher and verb into the tuberider at practice this weekend for moar loudness. first time running stereo and pretty stoked on it.

This is killer,
love the dual chains and the super verby side,
should be a beast with 2 loud amps
also: how much did you pay for your DD5?
:lol:

Used they show up for like 30-35 sometimes. It's insane how good this thing sounds when it costs less than a video game. Where I run my compressor on all the time (I do fingerpicking on a strat so I have to) I needed a distortion that wouldn't have a ton of compression and this fit the bill perfectly.
