yeah, i have a shin-ei too, but only use it in the studio because of the big volume drop and power issue. this is pretty damn close, though not as "warm" to my ears if that makes any sense with an effect this nasty. it's similar to the shin-ei in that the tone goes from swarm of bees to swarm of killer bees if you know what i mean. no sublety with this thing, really gnarly. great value for the price.
You're actually from the band thrushes!
I love you! Although your name makes for awkward conversation when I recommend you guys to people Night Falls is an epic album.
Great pedalboard too!

you know how the interstellar overdriver sounds on bass?
I can tell you the IO is just great on bass. I have the deluxe version but i mainly use the normal mode on both sides. Gain setting is versatile and it's
loud. Well, could you expect otherwise? I have no loss of low end except maybe just a tiny bit on some settings but it doesn't bother me. It has a lot of treble on all settings. I can check if I have some clips. If you like to sound mean, you will not regret buying one.
Don't know about Dion but former APTBS bassist Jono used one live.

Good to hear! Since trading it, I realize I miss the modulation a ton. So giant!

My modest guitar board, just rebuilt. The sad face is where my Montavillian should be. Freakin' postal service.

That's funny, I have a sad face where my DC/CC used to be... Looks right at home on your board tho.

No idea. It works fine with my baritone though.

funny story...somebody was selling almost the entire set used and I just bought them all. They came in one giant box.

It's not a double TSA...
My amp tech just had it in his used case. It's a custom TSA with a boost on the back end. Due to the mysterious magic of oliver and crew when the feedback loop is disengaged it's a straight up clean boost with a lot of gain...with the feedback loop engaged it acts as a gate to the loop. It's the only way I've ever been able to the robots arpeggiator to not act retarded.

Holy fucking Death by Audio, that's awesome. What's your take on the Robot? I used to have one, but I found that I just didn't use it enough to justify keeping around. Still got my Fuzz War though.
I only really use the fuzz. The other modes are really unpredictable. It's got the input sensitivity knob on the inside, I wish it was on the outside, it would make it a lot more usable.

This is what I'm taking to my gig tonight. Dropped the phaser as I currently don't have a need for it.

^ lovely pedals. shame you don't see those soundblox pedals being talked about very much - they've got some really good stuff going on at a great price point.
