My experience with this show was identical. The CW seems to have a knack for this sort of bingeworthy, dark mellodrama-esque twisty garbage programming. I had a similar reaction to iZombie.

The wife and I recently began re-watching Ab Fab, and I'm still chipping away at Star Trek: Voyager. Amazon Prime video seems to have a growing supply of quirky indie films, but I tend to find more to watch on Netflix ... and then there's Crunchyroll, but that's a discussion for a different thread.

Riverdale actually sounds like a potential source of LOLs.

I really liked the first season (sans relationship bullshit), but I wasn't really able to get into season 2 at all.

The music makes it so much funnier, too.

How the fuck do you make Archie edgy?
You can't, really, but they try. Oh, how they try. It's literally the premise of the show. Archie as edgy teen murder mystery melodrama.

Gloomy social misfit writer & truth-teller from a broken home on the wrong side of the tracks Jughead is the funniest thing I've seen in forever.
Started watching it.
I have no idea how any of the actors managed to avoid laughing the entire time.

The whole millennial Twin Peaks vibe feels so contrived and just absurd.
Oh man, just fuck all that, really.

If you feel like getting really pissed off this one will do the trick.
I was wondering about that one. Might have to suss it.

My son keeps bugging me to watch Riverdale with him,
sounds like I should give it a shot at least

I endured one episode of Riverdale. It was good for a few chuckles here and there, but a little too Dawson's Creek and not dark or surreal enough for my liking. Kudos to the writers for trying nonetheless.

Maybe I'm just too old or geeky to fully appreciate hip 21st century TV. It would have been more appealing for me if there was something more supernatural or bizarre afoot. At least the 100 diluted the teen drama aspect of things with (somewhat-laughable) dystopian, post-apocalyptic sci-fi elements.

I can't believe Sarah Silverman was briefly in the cast of Star Trek: Voyager. LOL.

I started watching Sons of Anarchy. This show is the shit man! Why do I decide not to watch shit when it's on and years later watch it and love it?? Fuck I'm weird.

Finally, a new season of Sense8.
But it sucks that there's only ten episodes.
Finished S2 today. Literally my new favorite show. Can't wait for S3!

Finished Breaking Bad.
IT REALLY WAS SO FUKKEN GOOD.
Been watching Better Call Saul recently and it seems good too. It's "lighter".

Better Call Saul is cool. It feels like it's what happens when someone is popular and famous and basically gets given a blank cheque to do what interests them. Things are allowed a lot of space, lots of long scenes, entire music tracks and slightly odd shots.

I've watched all of season 1 and I really enjoyed it.

Almost finished the latest season of Kimmy Schmidt. Kinda exhausting to be totally enjoyable. Still much better-crafted than pretty much everything else.

Binged it. The show's okay but I guess I'm just not that "in tune" with Tina Fey's humor. :idk:
