Yep I beat it...working on scoring a few remaining trophies before I send it back later today.
The killer makes a bit of sense when you play back many of the scenes.
Have you seen the DLC? I'm not wasting $5 for such little content, but it's pretty intense. I watched the youtube videos of playthroughs...should have been part of the game.

the killer makes sense
except for one scene
for the scene to work you would have to not be in control of the character you are in control of...
i'm not sure if that makes sense but i felt like it was just beyond fucking lazy, and a complete misunderstanding of the medium of the story telling. you can't have an interactive story and just say "oh by the way it happened this way, even though you clearly saw it happen this way."

The typewriter scene? It was slightly lazy, but not totally out there.
The camera pans on Lauren with the other characters off screen and there is a loud banging noise from the grandfather clock as a clue.

Psychonauts anyone?
Maybe a little bit o' the ol' Grim Fandango?
The monkey island series?
Torin's passage?
Tim Schaffer is great game designer. Too bad BrĂ¼tal Metal wasn't as amazing as his past work.
Looking forward to Ron Gilbert's Deathspank though. Also loved his recent blog entry countering Roger Ebert's claim that videogames are not and will never be art. I would say Grim Fandango would qualify, though a high majority of games are really not art in the highest sense.

I heard great things about psychonauts but never got around to playing it for one reason or another.
Ebert has never played a video game, save for pong, so his opinion on the matter is irrelevent.
Yes, they can be art.

Video games are more a collective of art than art itself.
A composition made up of music, plot, and moving pictures.
Either way I am really really into The curse of monkey island right now.
Such a great game.
I also like tetris

Taking a ff13 break and playing through Bayonetta. Odd sense of humor, plays a bit like devil may cry mixed with dead or alive's fighting system.
and if you haven't seen this:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/534416The entire super mario bros 1, now playable with characters from other classic games (mario, samus, simon belmont, link, megaman, and the dude from contra)
