I really really really want one of them little thangs. PJB rules because they sound like getting kicked in the face. I like that. I should get one just because my POS Acoustic amp shitted out on me and I'm too impatient to wait on hold with Musician's Friend to get a warranty replacement. Yep, that's how lazy I am when it comes to wee combo amps.

It's funny because on paper, Roscoe basses are NOT my thing. At all. Active electronics, 5-strings (usually), 35" scale, Bartolini, etc. All wrong for me.
But OH MAN are they fuckin' awesome. I love the way their B-string feels and sounds. It's like a freight train full of explosions.

Yup, I have a hard time playing most other basses now. I've come to realize the Roscoe neck profile is perfect for me.
Though the B-string is amazing and they probably sell more 5s than anything else, their 6 strings are probably the only ones with a neck I really get along with (no surprise) and they make a killer 4 string too.
Roscoe put out a few designs where it appeared as though the hacked off the lower bout (jmootes isn't like that) and I'm not to jazzed on that disproportionate aesthetic. Have a look,...just pulled something off TB from a google Image search.
I have played one though and they are incredible sounding basses,...maybe a little too rich for my blood.

Yeah, that's the LG body style popularized by Jimmy Haslip. Although I've owned a couple I too don't care for the look, but on a strap it hangs the same and the result is a lighter instrument. For someone my size (I'm 1.82 m tall) the full size body styles make more sense.

The Standard and Standard Plus models (which the one I posted above is) are quite a bit cheaper than their Custom/Signature lines. The pricetag on that one is $2724 with hardshell case and a Standard 5 (take away the bubinga top, black hardware and birdseye fretboard) with gigbag would be $2199. Pretty good for a bass that is handmade in Greensboro, NC. I am definitely a fan.
I may refinish it, put in a proper SD mustang pup, slap on some flats. I'm really enjoying the 30" scale, though.
BONERAMA.
Protip: There is only one factory built mustang bass pickup. The fender is the squier is the Duncan is the duncan designed. SO BOOYAH! I love my mustang bass in a serious way.

Nice Nordy! What pickups do you have? I'm really interested in trying out the Fatstacks or Big Splits.
Thanks! I have Big Singles in it, I fookin' love giant single coils in ash/maple basses. Actually I just like giant single coils in general really, even my bass with Fat Stacks has them hardwired in single coil mode. I do like Big Splits in fretless basses though, nice and thick sounding.

Dude Sheldon does an AWESOME green. Jesus fuck balls.
you know, i like yours WAY better. that Dinger's cool and all, but i've never really been a fan of traditional bursts or the quilted top look. it always looked kinda cheap and Matchbox to me. yours looks like..... like you would beat the shit out of Oscar The Grouch for heckling you. and be in the RIGHT. that little morose fucker had it COMING.
i've always had this insane crush on Mike Watts and his SG. and i don't even fucking like SG's. but i've wanted a Dingwall done to emulate the color scheme of this version of it............
forfuckingEVER.
all matte'ish red with some grain bleed through and a blue circle right there.
so. damn. pretty.
.......... probably wouldn't rip out a pup though. fuck i need to start gigging again so i can get some legitimate beat ups on my bass.
