the dr. scientist flangalaxy???
Teh SWOOSH BOXX.
Or Dark Flangula. Like flanger and nebula and Dracula combined. Space vampires are awesome. And dark nebula is a type of nebula. And dark is like drac phonetically rearanged.

It should have a Flanger Bounce option too, I always thought that was pretty awesome especially on a TZF... although you might be looking at a 1590DD Case to get it all in.
Pete, what's the bounce feature all about? I don't really know much about flangers, tell me 'bout the bouncy please.
B-man, I don't know, I think you're gonna have to come up with some other way to play Money For Nothing... I checked a crystal ball here and there's no compressor in my future. No wah either, I don't go for that sound either.
So just for curiosity, what do y'all use for a flange? i'm using the new maxon but it's just not doing it for me. I could totally see how someone would love how it sounds and enjoy the tweak-ability but it's just not smooth enough for me. so the search goes on......

I've got an ibanez af2 airplane...paul gilbert's sig flanger. Paul was a big fan of the a/da so the AF2 sounds spot on. It's also got the wacky takeoff/oscillationsomething switch as heard in the intro here:

Bounce was made popular by the Eventide Instant Flanger... you get the normal up and down sweep of a standard LFO in the flanger but that sweep is followed by echoes that go in either direction with a faster and slower clock 'bounce' emulates the "bouncing" tape speed of reel-to-reel tape machines when the friction from a touch against the reel is suddenly released.
You get 'bounce' when the summed control voltage is fed into a sub audio band pass filter, then into a non-linear amplifier with positive feedback and then filtered by a second band pass filter. A variable portion of this is mixed to the straight control voltage to control the BBD's clock frequency.
