Okay, since all this is public, I'm going to respond publicly...but if a manufacturer has problems with, or advice for, another manufacturer, it'd probably be best for it to be in a private message (rather than end up getting blown up all over forums). Unless it's something so bad that people need to be warned.
Maybe a blowup wasn't the intention here...but I could see it coming.
The original thread, despite the title, was just someone asking why zvex was disliked (because they didn't know). I saw some serious explanations of why he's disliked by some, and a lot of goofing around. Not slander. And it's a little strange to defend the biggest forum slanderer I know against "slander" (yes, vex tried to hurt my sales actively and completely unprovoked by me. Though it doesn't bother me and actually helped me, it's still true).
And other than linking to the thread, Devi had very little reason to be so strongly associated with it. She didn't participate in it, and despite starting ILF hasn't owned it since August 09. I'd certainly take the heat for it before her, since I own the forum...but it's also a forum, and people get some amount of free speech and ability to goof around.
At the same time--Nic, I don't want pedal wars or manufacturer wars. I don't want ILF people going around calling you an ass (though I can't control people), and I don't want any rivalry between us. I'm really

about this, cause I've got lots of things to do. I've admired your pedals in the past, and despite never owning one, have come close. You too have got cool enough pedals that you don't need to worry about anyone else's. A lot of people followed up in this thread saying that cool pedals are cool pedals, and that no one should avoid buying someone's pedals because of one incident, etc. Hopefully you see that this place isn't so bad, and hopefully we'll prove that that's true.
I do think that continuing this thread will be counterproductive if it keeps going. Right now, we're at the point where people are somewhat level headed, agreeing that cool pedals are cool pedals, and Nic got to circumvent his ban and defend himself. I think this is a good point to realize that all's good...or at least, all's good enough!
